Continuous Quality Improvement for Courts and Child Welfare

Co-sponsored by the National Resource Center for Legal and Judicial Issues In this session court and child welfare partners from two states will discuss outcome data they are looking at, and collaborative court/child welfare efforts to improve outcomes. The webinar will include perspectives from Minnesota - a county administered system where collaboration has focused on permanency outcomes, and Texas - a state administered system with collaborative work targeting education outcomes. Presenters will explore the challenges they have faced and lessons learned as they work on building shared accountability and ongoing continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts. OBJECTIVES: Participants will – • Learn about how courts and child welfare partners in two states are reviewing and using outcome data and information, and working together on system improvement efforts. • Gain a greater understanding of the benefits and challenges of court/child welfare CQI work.
